Welcome to the Divine Service—where Christ Himself gathers, forgives, speaks, and feeds His people.
At Holy Cross, worship is not a performance we offer to God but the place where Jesus serves us through His Word and Sacraments. Here the crucified and risen Lord is truly present: announcing mercy in Absolution, proclaiming life in the Scriptures, and giving His very body and blood in the Holy Supper. In this Christ‑centered rhythm of grace, He restores weary hearts, strengthens faith, and sends us out to love our neighbors in His name. We invite you to join us and receive the gifts Christ delights to give.
What to Expect at the Divine Service
At Holy Cross, the Divine Service is centered on Christ’s saving work and His promise to be present with His people. When you join us, you step into a rhythm of grace where Jesus gathers, forgives, speaks, and feeds His church.
✝️ A Christ‑Centered Welcome
You’ll be greeted warmly as you enter the sanctuary. Our worship is reverent yet accessible, shaped by the historic liturgy and anchored in the Gospel. Everything we do points to Christ crucified and risen for you.
📖 Confession, Absolution, and the Word
The service begins with honest confession and the joyful announcement of Christ’s forgiveness. Scripture readings from the Old Testament, Epistles, and Gospels proclaim God’s promises, and the sermon applies Christ’s work to everyday life with clarity and hope.
🍞 The Lord’s Supper
On Sundays when Holy Communion is celebrated, Christ gives His true body and blood for the forgiveness of sins. Visitors who are baptized Christians and share our confession of the faith are welcome to commune; others are invited to come forward for a blessing.
We sing hymns that proclaim Christ’s saving work and join in spoken and sung liturgy drawn from Scripture. The congregation participates throughout the service—worship is something we receive together, not a performance to watch.
🙌 Families and Children
Children are welcome in worship. We encourage families to participate together, and we provide resources to help little ones follow along. The sounds of children in church are signs of Christ’s promise for generations to come.

Following the Benediction, you’re invited to stay for conversation, coffee, and fellowship. Pastors and members are glad to answer questions or help you learn more about the life of our congregation.
